We recognize the growing difficulty in sourcing the old axial capacitors and high voltage transistors, which often lack suitable replacements.
To address this issue, we have redesigned the Williams Power Supply Board D-8345-xxx using modern, readily available components. Our updated design includes an advanced Linea 5-volt regulator featuring the standard LM723 chip, and we have further enhanced the circuit with a trim potentiometer that allows precise adjustment of the output voltage between 4.7V and 5.4V.
During the testing of these boards the voltage is typically set to 5.08v
This particular version of the D-8345 power board is tailored for later Williams System 11, 11A, machines that originally utilized a “jumper” for GI illumination & has a remote-mounted fuses for the GI. Earlier models used a fuse holder & 20 Amp fuse. This board is fitted with a jumper in place of the board-mounted fuse to accommodate these updates found in later models.
The board comes with a 4-pin plug (yellow/white wires) and includes the additional plug and pins needed to replace the damaged plug in the GI system wiring.
Designed to match the appearance of the original power supply, it ensures a seamless Plug ‘n Play installation while preserving the authentic look of your machine.

Specifically, verify that the area highlighted in the yellow circle corresponds to the design of your original power supply. Fuse F4 is not included, please verify the fuse value in the service manual.
