This high performance Bally / Stern Power Driver Board is a modern replacement for the original Bally AS-2518-16, AS-2518-22, and Stern SDU-100 boards. Engineered specifically for use with LED displays, this version removes the need for the high-voltage section while delivering improved efficiency and reliability.
The original factory boards suffered from several design flaws, including the use of outdated, obsolete components and under-rated track work. These issues often led to excessive heat and reduced long-term performance. Our updated design solves these problems by incorporating modern SMD components that reduce heat generation and increase overall efficiency, all while retaining the trusted “old-school” layout using through-hole parts like transistors, capacitors, and the classic TO-3 5V regulator for easy servicing.
