6 Digit Display Plug n Play Bally/Stern
We are pleased to announce the launch of our highly anticipated Bally Stern 6 digit LED displays, the result of extensive research and development efforts spanning several months.
In our quest for excellence, we meticulously scoured the international LED market to identify the optimal colour orange LED that would perfectly complement the original Bally Stern Plasma displays. Subsequently, we engaged in a collaborative process with our trusted LED manufacturers, carefully tailoring the LED components to meet our precise specifications, ensuring seamless integration with our PCB assembly.
Drawing upon our extensive background in heavy machine engineering, where vibrations pose significant challenges, we have proactively addressed the vibration concerns prevalent in pinball machines. Our innovative solution involves the interlocking and soldering of the two boards, namely the LED face board and the driver board (bottom) PCB. This meticulous design approach guarantees a robust and enduring amalgamation, minimizing any potential vibrations during game play.
The main driver board, which lies at the core of our LED displays, exemplifies our commitment to a harmonious blend of traditional through-hole components and cutting-edge surface mount components. By seamlessly integrating these components, we have achieved a streamlined board design. Noteworthy among the key features is the incorporation of a high-temperature filter capacitor and surface mounted integrated circuits, rated at 125 degrees Celsius, to effectively withstand any fluctuations in the headboard temperature. You can simply add or remove a dot on the display via a simple jumper change from an on/off position, additionally, we have kept the circuitry elegantly simple, with only three integrated components on the driver board. This intentional design choice ensures ease of fault detection and troubleshooting, should the need ever arise.
Included is complete set of foam/bezel which goes around the face of the LED display. These will be pre assembled at our factory depot.
Please note that the 4-digit LED “match/ball in play” display is also compatible with the 7-digit games, allowing it to be utilized concurrently with the original plasma displays without necessitating high voltage.
